The HPR-40 MIMS is a compact benchtop mass spectrometer for direct, real-time analysis of dissolved gases and volatile compounds. Interchangeable membrane inlets support work with groundwater, seawater, wastewater, slurries, fermentation cultures, confined samples, and headspace.

Direct MIMS analysis from trace environmental gases to VOCs

Membrane inlet mass spectrometry transfers selected dissolved or volatile species through a gas-permeable membrane to the quadrupole analyser. Choose from direct probes, low-volume and high-sensitivity flow-through inlets, proximity sampling and automated four- or eight-stream options. Membrane selection can be tailored to general VOC work or enhanced rare-gas sensitivity.

The standard system covers 1–200 amu, with a 300 amu option, dual Faraday/electron-multiplier detection, and acquisition up to 1,000 measurements per second. The system supports sub-ppb detection and, for selected species and conditions, parts-per-trillion performance. Practical sensitivity depends on the analyte, membrane, sample matrix, and inlet configuration. MASsoft Professional and QGAsoft support instrument control, data acquisition and quantitative workflows.
