Hiden Analytical attended the Netherlands’ Catalysis and Chemistry Conference (NCCC XXVI) which took place 2-4 March 2026 at the Technical University of Delft in Noordwijkerhout, Netherlands. We were delighted to be represented by Wolfgang Kerschbaum and Christoph Kerschbaum of Benelux Process, our Belgian agents, who spoke to attendees and showcased our mass spectrometry solutions

NCCC XXVI brought together the Dutch and wider catalysis and chemistry community to share new results, methods and collaborations across fundamental and applied catalysis research. The themes spanned heterogenous catalysis, biocatalysis, electrocatalysis, photocatalysis and more, areas in which Hiden Analytical provides advanced mass spectrometry solutions to support.

Hiden instrumentation that can be used for these processes include: the HPR-20 R&D, HPR-20 EGA, and HPR-40 DEMS. For heterogeneous catalysis, the HPR-20 R&D and HPR-20 EGA provide sensitive gas analysis for monitoring reaction pathways, catalyst performance and evolved species during thermal or reactor-based studies. The CATLAB further supports catalyst characterisation and reaction studies by combining a microreactor with integrated mass spectrometry, enabling temperature-programmed, kinetic and thermodynamic evaluation of catalytic processes.

In biocatalysis, these systems support the continuous measurement of gas species generated during enzymatic or biological reactions, helping researchers investigate reaction kinetics and process efficiency. For electrocatalysis, the HPR-40 DEMS provides in situ, real-time analysis of gases and volatile species produced at electrochemical interfaces, supporting studies into catalyst activity, selectivity and reaction mechanisms.

The conference was a fantastic opportunity to exchange ideas in the catalysis and chemistry field, we thank Benelux Process for their continual support.
