Hiden Analytical was delighted to be represented by Lam Ngyuen and Hai Tran of Reecotech, our Vietnamese partner, at the 14th National Conference on Solid State Physics and Materials Science, held from November 5–7, 2025, in Buon Ma Thuot City, Vietnam.

A Leading Event for Materials Science and Physics Research in Vietnam

Organized by the Vietnam Physical Society and Tay Nguyen University, and supported by the Institute of Materials Science and Institute of Physics, both part of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, the event welcomed over 500 delegates including scientists, educators, and industry professionals.

Since its first meeting in 1995, the National Conference on Solid State Physics and Materials Science has been held biennially, serving as a key platform for presenting ground-breaking research, exchanging ideas, and strengthening collaboration between universities, research institutions, and industry.Podium at SPMS 2025.

Conference Highlights

At the Hiden Analytical booth, visitors can explore how our mass spectrometry solutions support semiconductor manufacturing through:

  • SPMS 2025 was timed to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Physical Society (August 1966 – August 2026).
  • A special Public Lecture was held on the occasion of annual Vietnam Physics Day, November 6th, to inform all delegates about the Nobel Prize in Physics 2025. John Clarke, Michel H. Devoret and John M. Martinis were awarded for the discovery of macroscopic quantum mechanical tunnelling and energy quantisation in an electric circuit.

This year’s conference featured a dynamic programme with plenary sessions and thematic discussions both onsite and online, addressing the latest developments in materials science and solid-state physics.

Supporting Innovation and Collaboration

The conference provided an invaluable forum for researchers and professionals to meet, exchange and disseminate their research across diverse fields — reflecting Vietnam’s growing investment in science, technology, and innovation.

Hiden Analytical, through Reecotech, was proud to participate in this vibrant scientific community and many participants expressed interest in learning more about Hiden’s QGA gas analyser, SIMS instruments for materials characterisation, and RGA systems for vacuum and process diagnostics.
